Dr. Broderick has served over 7 years with DTI as CEO. Prior to DTI he held a number of senior executive positions, domestic and international, within the life science instrumentation and consumable industry (manufacturing & sales). His management roles have included; operations, research & development, manufacturing, sales & marketing, business development, HRM & PR. An experienced technical writer and author of many scientific articles and publications, Dr. Broderick is also an inventor and patent owner. Educated in the United Kingdom, he gained a Neuroscience PhD from the University of Portsmouth (1992) and a BSc. (HONS) from Leeds University.
Mr. Halloy has served over three years with DTI as President & CFO. A successful entrepreneur in several start-up and early stages ventures, he started his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. Following a ten year stint with Arthur Andersen, he served senior executive roles within the real estate and insurance industries in Florida. This included serving as the CFO of an insurance company during its successful $220 million initial Public Offering. Educated in the USA, he graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BS in Accounting (1983).
Dr. Zhelyaskov has served over 7 years with DTI as Chief Science & Technology Officer. Prior to DTI he held a number of senior technology positions within the life science instrumentation and consumable industry. A Seasoned expert in the field of biomedical instrumentation and piezoelectric technology he has also served as a Research Fellow in the Department of Analytical Chemistry (University of Michigan). Dr. Zhelyaskov’s research and teaching positions have included; Assistant Professor – Department of Chemistry, Sofia University (Bulgaria); Research Fellow - Department of Physics, Emory University (US); Assistant Professor - Department of Chemistry, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Hong Kong). He is an author of multiple research papers and publications as well a multiple patent-owner. Educated in Bulgaria, he gained an Applied Physics PhD from Sophia University (1989) and an Applied Engineering BSc from the same university.
Dr. Petrenko has served over 7 years with DTI as Director of Research & Development. He has over 25 years engineering and research experience with the field of a solid-state functional electronics engineering. Dr. Petrenko is a recognized leading figure within the field of piezoelectric drives and system and has more than 120 scientific publications to his name. Previously he has served as Department Head for one the biggest manufacturers of military and aerospace equipment in the Ukraine. Currently he is also a full professor at the Kiev Technical University, where he leads a team conducting research on innovative devices based on new physical principles (“nanomechanotronics”). Educated at the Moscow Physical-Engineering Institute, faculty of theoretical and experimental physics, he received a Ph.D. in Solid State physics (1984) and a D.Sc. degree in Instrument Design (1992).
Mr. Davies has served over 7 years with DTI as the Chief Software Engineer. Prior to DTI he held a number of senior positions with high-profile communication and software companies in Silicon Valley. He has over twenty years’ experience within the industry which has included; Software Team Leader at Alcatel Network Systems (CA) and Principal Software Engineer for ONI Systems, Inc. (CA). Mr. Davies technical experience includes: C/C++, Objective-C, assembler, MFC and CoCoa programming. Intel, 68K, PowerPC, MIPS, Freescale, Texas Instruments. Windows (95/98/2000/NT/XP/Nte/2010), UNIX (SunOS, Solaris, Ultrix, Linux), Macintosh OS X, RTOS (VxWorks, pSOS). IP (BSD/WinSock), HTTP, XML), OSI (CMISE, IS-IS, CLNP, LLC, LAPD), DWDM, SONET, OpenGL. Educated in the US, he earned a B.S. from Duke University.
